Acer officially unveiled its newest laptops and monitors on Thursday. The announcement included several new devices, both running Windows and Chrome OS. Alongside the new laptop reveals, Acer also shared news that it had joined the RE100 initiative and pledged to achieve 100% renewable energy use by 2035. This pledge is important because it also marked the reveal of the Aspire Vero, Acer’s first sustainability-focused laptop, which will feature post-consumer recycled plastic throughout the keycaps and chassis. Some of the biggest announcements from Acer include updates to its ConceptD lineup, which will bring 11th Gen Intel Core processors to the creator-focused series. Nvidia RTX 30 series GPUs are also at the core of the newly updated notebooks. The full lineup includes the ConceptD 5, ConceptD 7 Ezel Pro, and the ConceptD 3 and 3 Ezel, and they’ll all ship later this year. Another core announcement comes in the form of several new professional notebooks, including the TravelMate P6 and TravelMate Spin P6. The new premium-designed laptops will offer lightweight workstations with 11th Gen Intel processors and 5G capability. They’re expected to arrive in December and will start at $1,399.99 for the TravelMate Spin P6 and $1,299.99 for TravelMate P6 clamshell models. Additionally, Acer revealed plans to bring updates to its gaming desktops, including the Predator Orion 3000, and Nitro 50 N50-620, as well as the new SwiftX, a thin and light laptop powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 series mobile processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPUs. The company also revealed new Predator gaming monitors, which it says will cater to both console and hardcore gamers. Finally, the company debuted four new Chromebook models, including its first 17-inch model, as well as its first Intel Evo-powered Chromebook.
