How to Connect a Honeywell Thermostat to Wi-Fi

Benefits of Connecting a Smart Thermostat to Wi-Fi
There are so many benefits to having a smart thermostat like the one Honeywell manufactures. You can control your home’s thermostat from your phone, monitor the outdoor temperature, and set your thermostat when you’re away so you can save on energy. If not, you’ll have to manually put the thermostat into Wi-Fi setup mode. To do so, press the FAN and UP buttons at the same time and hold for about 5 seconds, or until two numbers appear on the screen. Press the NEXT button until the number on the left changes to 39, use the UP or DOWN arrow to change the number on the screen to 0, then press the DONE button. Your thermostat is now in Wi-Fi setup mode. If you have a Wi-Fi enabled Honeywell thermostat, there are a few benefits to getting it connected so you can control it with your smartphone:
Set Alerts: Having your smart thermostat connected to your Wi-Fi lets you set alerts if a room in your home gets too cold or too warm or if the humidity changes too much. You can have the alerts sent via text or email; then you can adjust the temperature no matter where you are. Use Multiple Thermostats: If you have a thermostat in each room, you can monitor the temperatures and humidity in each room, not just the house. Plus, you can check the outdoor temperature. Voice Control: Honeywell Wi-Fi smart thermostats have a voice-activated control. Just say “Hello Thermostat” to your phone and choose a preprogrammed voice command.
