The Risks of Android Lock Screen Removal

There’s no question that lock screens can sometimes be annoying or inconvenient, and disabling it means you’ll never need to enter a passcode or wait for biometric security. But consider this very carefully before you do: having no lock screen exposes you to a lot of risk.  If you phone is lost, misplaced, or even just out of your control briefly, anyone with physical access to your phone can open it immediately. This makes your private information extremely vulnerable, which is a particular concern since identity theft is such a concern these days.   If you really don’t want to enter a passcode each time you open your phone, rather than disabling your lock screen, consider turning on biometric security (like a fingerprint reader or face recognition) if your phone supports those features.
