When Will the Next@Acer Be Held?
Next@Acer last took place in May 2022 when it announced sustainability efforts related to its Vero laptops and accessories and some monitors and laptops. The previous two events were in October and May of 2021. The events were held virtually; you can view recaps on the Acer site and the Acer YouTube channel.
Which Products Will Be Announced?
In May 2022, Acer announced the new Swift 3 OLED laptop, SpatialLabs portable monitors, and the Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop. They also discuss sustainability initiatives such as the use of post-consumer and ocean-bound plastics in their laptops and peripherals and making its product packaging reusable and fully recyclable. It announced the Enduro Urban line of notebooks and tablets in April 2021; watch for accessories for that product line to come out as well. In April 2021, Acer disclosed plans to acquire a stake in FocalTech System, a Taiwan display driver IC supplier, to help fulfill its notebook orders. That acquisition could also mean additional products from Acer, including next-generation fingerprint, touch, display-driver integrated chips, and more. The company also renewed and expanded its partnership with Envy Gaming in early 2021; the agreement ensures Acer will supply the esports organization with Predator gaming hardware. We expect more gaming news and initiatives to arise out of this partnership.
