The subscription service is available to download for $3.49 CAD ($2.88 USD) and $4.49 AUD ($3.44 USD). Twitter Blue will offer exclusive features to subscribers like Bookmark Folders; Undo Tweet, which allows you to set a customizable timer of up to 30 seconds to click “Undo”; and Reader Mode, which will make reading long threads easier. “We’ve heard from the people that use Twitter a lot, and we mean a lot, that we don’t always build power features that meet their needs,” Twitter wrote in its blog post announcing the feature’s availability. “We took this feedback to heart, and are developing and iterating upon a solution that will give the people who use Twitter the most what they are looking for: access to exclusive features and perks that will take their experience on Twitter to the next level.” Other features available in the initial rollout include customizable icons for your phone’s Twitter app and different color schemes within the app, itself. Subscribers also will have access to dedicated customer support, instead of having to tweet the Twitter Support account with their problems. Twitter added that its core platform always will remain free for users, but the new subscription option is simply meant to enhance the experience for those who want it. The company did not reveal when the subscription service may be available to users in the US and other countries. Twitter Blue was initially spotted by app researcher Jane Manchun Wong last week, and her information on what would be available in the subscription model was mostly spot on. A subscription-based model has been rumored for years now. Last year, Twitter took the idea to the next level by asking users in a platform-wide survey what kind of features they would consider paying for, like fewer or no ads, more advanced analytics, insights into other accounts, and more.
